| 1980
- 82 |
Began
performing at the Charleston Museum. |
| 1981 |
Performed
for libraries, festivals, art councils, schools, and recreation
centers across the state of South Carolina. Successfully
auditioned for the South Carolina Arts Commission, was
added to the official artist roster, and conducted dozens
of residencies throughout the state |
| 1982 |
Designed
and built a puppet mascot for earthquke education at Charleston
Southern University. Designed and created a puppet that
was used in a commercial for a local chiropractor. Performed
a weekly spot on "Junior Junction," a locally-produced
children's show. |
| 1983 |
Joined
Puppeteers of America and began attending national and
regional festivals for puppetry arts. |
| 1984 |
Directed
a third grade class from Mt. Pleasant Academy and performed
a Japanese folktale at Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston,
S.C. Conducted puppetry residences in schools across the
state with the S.C. Arts Commission's Artist-in-Residence
program |
| 1989 |
Met
Jim Henson at the Puppeteers of America National Festival
in Boston Massachusetts. I treasure both the autograph
and the memory. |
| 1990 |
Met
Jay Leno and presented him with a puppet. Attended UNIMA-USA
Symposium " The Language of the Puppet" in Vancouver,
Washington. Was befriended by George Latshaw a gem
of a man and a highly respected puppeteer. |
| 1991 |
Attended
a three-week course in Washington state with Joseph Krofta,
an internationally renowned director from Czechoslovakia. |
| 1992 |
Created
puppets for a video on juvenile diabetes. Nominated for
the Puppeteers of America Board of Trustees. Helped direct
the Puppeteers of America Festival held in Charleston. |
| 1994 |
Debuted
an original show titled "One World, One Heart"
on Earth Day. |
| 2002
- 04 |
Worked
with Project Artistic: a collaboration of multi-faceted
and diverse artists in a year-long program offered to
Charleston County teachers. |
| 2003
- 06 |
Presented
popular puppetry workshops at the South Carolina Association
of School Librarians annual conferences. |
| 2004 |
Created
puppets and performed in the video The Magical Journey
Through the Library, which is available through Highsmith.

Worked
with Fort Dorchester High School's drama class as part
of Spoleto Festival USA's education outreach (Charleston,
S.C.) |
| 2005 |
Worked
for a month behind-the-scenes sewing and assisting Basil
Twist and his crew when he premiered La Bella
Dormente Nel Bosco ( Sleeping Beauty in the Woods)
for Spoleto Festival, USA, in Charleston, S.C. (I kept
them in brownies!). |

Performed
at a National Day of Puppetry event in Asheville, N.C. |
| 2006/July |
Sole
scholarship recipient
to attend Puppet Fest Midwest in Trenton, Missouri.
I studied under Luman Coad an internationally known puppeteer.
